Westminster Dog Show Live

Westminster Dog Show Live: The 2022 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is upon us, once again providing dog lovers the opportunity to coo at their television screens and ask the eternal, oft-repeated question: Who’s a good boy?

This year the number of dog breeds eligible for the Westminster Dog Show has grown to 211, with the American Kennel Club officially recognising two new breeds. The Hungarian farm dog Mudi will join the Herding group, while the small Russian Toy is being added to the Toy Group.

Don’t just take my word for it though. All four days of the Dog Show will be broadcast and livestreamed for viewers at home, so you can admire all the good boys and girls from the comfort of your home. You won’t be able to pet them, of course, but you probably wouldn’t be allowed to even if you bought yourself a ticket and visited Tarrytown, NY in person.

If you’re wanting to watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in the U.S., you have two options available. Namely, you can choose between FOX Deportes’ Spanish-language broadcast, or opt for English-language commentary on FOX, FS1, FS2, and westminsterkennelclub.org.

For those who understand both languages and want to be up-to-date on all the canine action, you’ll want to go with the English-language broadcast. FOX Deportes will be far less comprehensive, only beginning coverage on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. EDT, and some of it will be delayed.

That isn’t to say parts of the English-language broadcast won’t also be delayed. Though the Masters Agility Championship takes place entirely on Saturday, FOX won’t broadcast the finals until Sunday. However, the English-language coverage will generally be quicker and more complete than its Spanish-language counterpart, which won’t broadcast the Masters Agility Championship at all.

How to watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in Canada

Watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in Canada is slightly less complicated, as English-language Sportsnet is the event’s only official Canadian broadcaster. However, broadcasts will only take place from Sunday to Wednesday, meaning Canadians keen to see the Masters Agility Championship Preliminaries on Saturday will unfortunately miss out.

Westminster Dog Show 2022

Westminster Dog Show 2022: One of the nation’s most storied sporting events returns to the fore on June 18. The Westminster Dog Show is back and it promises to be another showcase in the elegance and grace of man’s best friend.

For the second year in a row, the beloved competition will take place at Lyndhurst Estate, a massive limestone mansion located about 25 miles north of Midtown Manhattan.

While tickets are reasonably priced, not everyone will be able to make out to the site, which was selected in an effort to limit the likelihood of transmitting COVID-19.

Still, the Westminster Dog Show is part of the fabric of the American sporting culture; as a result, viewers will be able to follow along on a host of different platforms.

The action begins on Saturday, June 18, with the Masters Agility Championship Preliminaries, which will be live-streamed from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on the Westminster Kennel Club website.

On Sunday, June 19, the Masters Agility Championship Finals will take place. That will broadcast on FOX from 12:30 p.m to 3:00 p.m. ET, although television subscribers can also stream the event on the FOX NOW app or FOX Sports app.

Monday, June 20, is when the breed judging and obedience events commence. Hounds and herding dog breeds will lead the pack, with all the action being offered on westminsterkennelclub.org.

From 1:00 p.m. ET – 4:00 p.m. ET, the breed judging will also be broadcast on Fox Sports 2. Those with cable subscriptions will be able to watch along on the FOX NOW and FOX Sports apps.

On Tuesday, June 21, breed judging will continue, with westminsterkennelclub.org serving as the site for live coverage once more. Coverage will shift over to Fox Sports 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET, so subscribers can use the Fox Sports Go app to access the broadcast.

Wednesday, June 22 is the final stage of the competition. It will packaged similarly to the June 21 streams, with action first taking place on westminsterkennelclub.org before shifting over to FS1/Fox Sports Go at 7:00 p.m. ET.
